New contract for factory to Sealord’s newest trawler.

Optimar has signed a contract for delivery of complete fish handling factory on board Sealords newest trawler. Sealord Group is one of the words largest company within fishery and seafood.

The trawler will have a modern factory where all parts of the catch is taken care of. The factory will process fillet-, head/gutted and frozen products of Hoki, Hake, Ling, Squid, Jack Macarel. Rest of the raw material will be used for further processing of oil and fishmeal.

The factory will be delivered with Optimars newest automated solutions such as semi-automated batching systems, automated freezers, automatic sorting of finished products and automated palletizers.

With its 82,9 meters in length and 17 meters’ in breadth Sealord’s newest trawler will be the largest factory trawler in New Zealand. The boats capacity per year is estimated to 20 000 tons and will be an extremely efficient fishing- and factory vessel.

The vessel will be built at Simek shipyard in Flekkefjord, Norway and is designed by Skipsteknisk in Aalesund. Estimated delivery time is in the end of 2017.
