Hofseth’s upgraded facility in Ålesund now features advanced equipment from Optimar, boosting gutting capacity by nearly 70% and reinforcing the company’s position in the seafood industry. The upgrade also promotes more sustainable and efficient production through reduced energy consumption and improved by-product handling.

Optimar is testing the groundbreaking Catch ID system aboard the fishing vessel Hermes. Catch ID registers species, weight, and volume in real time as the fish comes aboard and sends data directly to authorities. The goal is to strengthen sustainability, precision, and trust in the seafood industry. Early results show improved efficiency – and the potential to set a new industry standard.
