Innovation and Cooperation for a Sustainable Future

juli 3, 2024

The seafood industry relies on our oceans and marine ecosystems. The climate crisis has already led to changes that will require collective action to secure the planet for future generations. Transitioning both energy and food systems to more sustainable alternatives is crucial, since both are major contributors to greenhouse gas emissions.

The seafood industry can help achieve the targets set by the Paris Agreement and realise other environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.

Innovating for Sustainable Seafood Production

As the worlds population grows, feeding everyone sustainably is becoming increasingly challenging. A dietary shift is necessary, with a greater emphasis on ocean-derived proteins. Technology plays a key role in this transition, and Optimar is at the forefront, delivering state-of-the-art equipment and solutions for sustainable, efficient and secure seafood production. Innovation is central to our business model, and we aim to lead the way with the worlds best processing solutions.

Cooperation to Reach Our Goals

Optimar's mission is to create value for our customers by optimizing animal health and welfare, human working conditions, raw material utilization and energy consumption, and reducing carbon emissions. Consumer awareness of these considerations is changing our industry.

We collaborate closely with customers, public authorities and research institutes to find the best designs and solutions, sharing knowledge and experience for the benefit of the seafood industry.
