The Veidar Story
In April 2022, a fire destroyed the longliner Veidar, leaving its factory in ruins. As Systems Integrator we collaborated with Veidar to streamline operations for the crew. Together, we implemented innovative solutions, including new machinery from Havfront and significant redesigned the reception area, aimed to enhance workflow efficiency and reducing crew strain.
A key addition was the Optimar Vision system, automating fish species sorting to eliminate manual errors. A part of our role as system integrator, Optimar optimized the factory layout to improve access and functionality, ensuring seamless operations.
With no time to spare, Veidar turned to Optimar for rapid reconstruction to return the vessel and its crew to sea promptly - Team Optimar uppgraded and rebuilt the factory in only 6 months.
